Pollen Our Delights
By Ann Wachter
I am here for you
in the wee hours of my night
gently skimming your skin wraps —
brittle musk-scented trappings
holding the woolen threads
of Times we read in bed,
opening the daily bric-a-brac
of our private lives,
to all we are and may become
— a buzz on black and yellow blossoms;
chatter and chants, chittering inside our folds
I am here for you
in the wee hours of my night
so we may forever tend
to pollen our delights
